(1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 NLT) For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. So encourage each other with these words.

(1 Thessalonians 5:2 NLT) For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night.

(1 Thessalonians 5:4 NLT) But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief.

√ Jesus return is a point of FAITH not FEAR.

√ Jesus return is SALVATION.
(1 Thessalonians 5:9 NKJV) For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
(Romans 5:9 NKJV) Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

(Luke 17:26-30 NLT) “When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and the flood came and destroyed them all. “And the world will be as it was in the days of Lot. People went about their daily business–eating and drinking, buying and selling, farming and building– until the morning Lot left Sodom. Then fire and burning sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. Yes, it will be ‘business as usual’ right up to the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

√ Be about PEOPLE.

(Jude 1:22-23 NLT) And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.

(1 Peter 4:6-8 NLT) That is why the Good News was preached to those who are now dead–so although they were destined to die (still in sin) like all people, they now live forever with God in the Spirit. The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

√ Be focussed on ETERNITY.
(2 Corinthians 4:17-18 NLT) For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

(John 3:16 NLT) “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

(2 Peter 3:3-4 NLT) Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”

(2 Peter 3:15, 17-18 NLT) And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved. This is what our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him. . . . . I am warning you ahead of time, dear friends. Be on guard so that you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing. Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.

√ Be READY!
(2 Peter 3:14 NLT) . . .while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.
