(Romans 12:2 MSG) … fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Habit #3
• Keep my life ALIGNED with my PURPOSE.

√ Because I HAVE A PURPOSE.
(Psalm 139:16 NLT) You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
(Ephesians 2:10 NIV) For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

√ Because there is COMPETITION for my TIME & ATTENTION.
(Ecclesiastes 4:6 NIV) Better one handful with tranquillity than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.

• An overwhelmed schedule will produce an underwhelmed soul.

√ Because TIME IS SHORT!
(James 4:13-15 NLT) Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog–it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.”

  1. Decided what is IMPORTANT.

(Philippians 3:7-8 NLT) I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ

2. SCHEDULE TIME for the important things.

(Psalm 90:12 LB ) Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should.

• Make time for RENEWAL — RELATIONSHIPS — REWARD
(2 Corinthians 4:16 NIV) Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
(Matthew 19:21 NLT) Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

3 Eliminate the NON-ESSENTIALS.
(Hebrews 12:1 NIV) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,

4 Regularly take INVENTORY.
• Where is my life OUT OF ALIGNMENT?
• Is the pain I feel the problem or the result of something else?
(Psalm 39:4 NLT) “LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered–how fleeting my life is….
