(John 16:33 NIV) “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

(2 Timothy 3:12 NIV) …. everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted…

√ Everyone goes through STORMS.
(1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT) The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience.

√ Storms are not a SIGN OF FAILURE.

(1 Peter 5:8-9 NLT) Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.

(Matthew 7:24-27 NLT) “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.  Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.  But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”

√ Jesus teaches PREPARATION.
(Isaiah 54:17 NIV) no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.

vindication: to show that (someone) should not be blamed for a crime, mistake

(Ephesians 6:13 NLT) Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

(James 1:22 NLT) But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. (NKJV says “doers of the Word”)

√ Hearing is not enough, DO the WORD.

(James 1:25 NLT) But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

(Romans 8:38-39 NIV) For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

(Philippians 2:13 NLT) For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
