(James 4:13-15 NIV) Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.”Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”

(1 John 2:17 NIV) The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever

√ The SOVEREIGN will of God.   *What God is DOING on the earth.

√ The MORAL will of God.   *What God has ALREADY SAID in His Word.

√ The PERSONAL will of God.  *What God DESIRES for my life.

(1 Corinthians 14:33 NIV) For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. . .

√ Have I ASKED God?
(1 John 5:13-15 MSG) “My purpose in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God’s Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion. And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he’s listening.. . .

√ Have I LISTENED to God.
(John 10:4 NLT) After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice.
(John 10:27 NLT) My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
(1 Corinthians 16:9 NLT) There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me.

√ Have I TESTED it?
(1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 MSG) “Don’t suppress the Spirit, and don’t stifle those who have a word from the Master. On the other hand, don’t be gullible. Check out everything, and keep only what’s good. Throw out anything tainted with evil.

1. WORD TEST
(2 Peter 1:19 NIV) We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

2. JESUS TEST
(James 3:17 NLT) But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

3. Relationship Test
(Romans 12:2 NLT) Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

√ Is this about ME or GOD? (My NOW or Our ETERNITY)
(1 Corinthians 10:24, 33 NLT) Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others. …. I, too, try to please everyone in everything I do. I don’t just do what is best for me; I do what is best for others so that many may be saved.
