(1 Timothy 6:17-19 NIV) Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

(Philippians 2:13 CEV) God is working in you to make you willing and able to obey him.

( 2 Corinthians 8:12 NIV) For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.

(1 Chronicles 29:17 NIV) I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things I have given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you.

MY WHY’S

√ OBEDIENCE.

√ JOY.

√ COVENANT.

√ VISION.

√ BLESSING.
(Malachi 3:10-12 NIV) Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, . . . I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the LORD Almighty. “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,”
(Deuteronomy 15:10 NIV) Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.

√ EXAMPLE.

√ DEVOTION.

(2 Corinthians 9:6-7 NIV) Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. **(TRUTH** then HOW TO GIVE) Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
(2 Corinthians 9:11 NIV) You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

1. INTENTIONAL giving.

2. PERCENTAGE giving.
(Mark 12:41-42 NIV) Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

(Mark 12:43-44 NLT) Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions. For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.”

(1 Corinthians 3:12-14 NIV) If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward.

3. ETERNAL giving.

√ GOD HAS BLESSED ME WITH MORE THAN I NEED SO I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF OTHERS!!
