√ The sovereign will of God.
What God is doing on the earth.
(Psalm 115:3 NLT) Our God is in the heavens, and he does as he wishes.

√ The moral will of God.
What God has already said in His Word.
(1 John 2:17b NLT) … anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.
(2 Peter 3:9b NLT) . . . He does not want anyone to be destroyed (NKJV perish), but wants everyone to repent.

√  The personal will of God.
What God desires for my life.
(John 10:10 NLT) The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

The more I get to know the sovereign will of God and the moral will of God, the better I will discern the personal will of God.

OUTSIDE THE GUARDS
(Psalm 139:16 NLT) Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

CO – mission: What an I DOING that I SHOULD NOT be doing?
(Romans 6:1-2 NLT) Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?

√ O – mission: What am I NOT DOING that I SHOULD BE doing?
(James 4:17 NLT) Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

BETWEEN THE GUARDS
(Proverbs 2:6-9 NLT) vs8-9  guards the paths of the just … you will understand what is right, just, and fair,
and you will find the right way to go.
(Proverbs 4:25-27 NLT) Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.  Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

1. Give your life to God.
(Matthew 18:14 NLT) In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.
(1 Peter 4:2) You won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God.

2. Allow God to transform you.
(Romans 12:2 NLT) Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
(1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 NLT) God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor.

3. Develop your gifts and calling.
(Ephesians 2:10) For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

4. Give your life for others.
(1 Peter 4:10) God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.
(1 Timothy 6:18-19)By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.
