(Galatians 2:19-20 NLT) ….. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
√ IGNORANCE is never bliss.
1 Peter 2:9-10 NLT) for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”
√ LOST Identity, is a windless sail.
(Galatians 4:8-11 NLT) … when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods. … you have known God, or rather are known by God, how [is it that] you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, … I am afraid for you, lest I have labored for you in vain.
√ You can’t find PEARS in an apple tree.
(Matthew 7:26-29 NLT) You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? … A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit.
How do we secure Who I am in Christ?
(James 1:22-25 NLT) don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.
√ Identify myself with CHRIST and His BODY.
(Ephesians 2:19 NLT) …no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.
(Ephesians 4:16 NLT) it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing ….
√ Remove the IDENTITY of the world. the constant of culture is to shaping YOU to BE WHAT IT SAYS.
(Daniel 1:8 NLT) .. was determined not to defile himself by eating the food and wine given to them by the king.
√ Identify your NAME in God. find your gift, use your gift, change lives with your gift
(Ephesians 4:7 NLT) However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ.
(1 Corinthians 12:7 NLT) A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.
(Romans 11:29 NLT) For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.
