(Proverbs 4:7 NIV) The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.

(Proverbs 10:1 NIV) The proverbs of Solomon: A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.

(Proverbs 31:31 NIV) Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

√ Honor begins with GOD’S VIEW of them.

(Romans 8:30 NIV) And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

√ Honor BENEFITS me too.

(Ephesians 6:2-3 NIV) “Honor your father and mother”–which is the first commandment with a promise– “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”

√ Honor is GIVEN.

(1 Peter 2:13-17 NIV) Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.

(Romans 12:10 NIV) Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

  1. PRIORITIZE them.

(Proverbs 3:9 NIV) Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops;

2. PRAISE them.

(James 3:9-10 NIV) With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.

3. PROTECT them.

(John 7:18 NLT) Those who speak for themselves want glory only for themselves, but a person who seeks to honor the one who sent him speaks truth, not lies.

√ The more I VALUE the more I get VALUE from it.
