SERIES SCRIPTURE
(1 Peter 4:8-9 NLT) Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.

(Ephesians 3:17-18 NLT)… Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.

(Colossians 2:7 NLT)  Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

(1 Timothy 6:10 NLT) For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
(Hebrews 12:15 NLT) Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.
–> the root of bitterness is a deliberate TURNING AWAY FROM GOD…… because it…..
√  Bitterness TRYS to separate you from grace.
√ Bitterness is INFECTIOUS. —- it trys to attach to people… why we talk about thiS IN CHURCH 101
(Deuteronomy 29:18 NLT) I am making this covenant with you so that no one among you–no man, woman, clan, or tribe–will turn away from the LORD our God to worship these gods of other nations, and so that no root among you bears bitter and poisonous fruit.
√  Bitterness was overcome by JESUS.
(Hebrews 4:15-16 NLT)  This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.  So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
(Psalm 147:3-4 NLT) He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.  He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.
