Wake Up!

(Rom. 13:9b-12 NKJV) 9 …“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”..11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

√ It can happen to ANYONE .
(Matt. 25:1-13 NKJV) 1Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom…5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

Sleepiness Self-check:

1. Am I too comfortable? DISINTERESTED in ETERNAL things.
(2 Cor. 4:18 NKJV) while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2. Am I too weary? SPINNING WHEELS have formed a RUT.
(Matt. 11:28-29 NLT) 28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

3. Am I too lazy? I’m CONFUSED about what makes me feel ALIVE.
(Eph. 2:10 NLT)
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

4. Am I too bored? I get more excited ABOUT GOD than BY GOD.
(John 3:16 NKJV) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

To Wake Up:
1. Realize faith isn’t about a BAD person becoming GOOD. It is about a DEAD person becoming ALIVE.
(Eph. 2:4-5 NLT) But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)

2. Become FULLY CONVINCED of God’s PROMISES.
(Rom. 4:20-21 NKJV)20 He (Abraham) did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
