And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. √ God still HEALS PEOPLE!
(Hebrews 13:8 NLT) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.(2 Timothy 4:18 NLT) Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen. √ God is also concerned about MY SOUL.
(Matthew 10:28 NIV) Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
(Luke 10:19-20 NLT) Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven.
√ God wants me to GROW in faith.
(Hebrews 11:6 NLT) And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
(James 5:17-18 NLT) Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.
1. Faith starts with a WORD from GOD.
(Romans 10:17 NKJV) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
(1 Kings 17:1 NLT) Now Elijah, who was from Tishbe in Gilead, told King Ahab, “As surely as the LORD, the God of Israel, lives–the God I serve–there will be no dew or rain during the next few years until I give the word!”
(Isaiah 55:11 NIV) so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
2. Faith continues when you HOLD ON to the WORD.
(1 Kings 18:42-44 NLT) . . . . Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees. Then he said to his servant, “Go and look out toward the sea.” The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said, “I didn’t see anything.” Seven times Elijah told him to go and look. Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.” Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!'”
(Galatians 6:9 NIV) Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
3. POWER in the process & the process is the POINT.
(1 Kings 18:45-46 NIV) Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel. The power of the LORD came on Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.
(Zechariah 4:10 NLT) Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin . . .
(James 5:19-20 NLT) My dear brothers and sisters, if someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back, you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.
√ ETERNAL Life.
