1. Recognize what’s REALLY going on.
(James 1:2-3 NIV) Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
2. Don’t fight the GROWTH PROCESS.
(James 1:4 NIV) Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
(Romans 5:3-4 NIV) Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

3. Ask for GOD’S HELP!
(James 1:5 NIV) If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
4. Keep a GOOD ATTITUDE.
(James 1:6-7 NIV) But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
(James 1:12 NIV) Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
1 . Recognize the SOURCE of temptation.
(James 1:13 NIV) When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;
2. Understand the PROCESS of temptation.
(James 1:14-15 NIV) but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

3. Learn how to OVERCOME.
