(1 Corinthians 14:1-5 NKJV) desire spiritual gifts….I wish you all spoke with tongues.

GIFT of tongues (followed by gift of INTERPRETATION) WE GOD

GRACE of tongues (praying in tongues or praying in the Spirit) ME GOD

√ The EVIDENCE.
Acts 10:44-46 NKJV) .. because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God…

BIBLE & TONGUES

(1 Corinthians 14:2 NKJV) For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries

√ The SPIRIT realm.
(Luke 17:20 NKJV) … The kingdom of God does not come with observation;
(2 Corinthians 4:18 NKJV)  … we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

√ The NATURAL realm. most live thinking what is real is what I can see, taste, hear, touch, or smell

The PURPOSE of my Prayer Language.
(1 Corinthians 14:14 NKJV) For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.

1. PRAY in a tongue. Pray= talk to God.  thus called a prayer language!

2. my SPIRIT prays. you are A SPIRIT, you have a SOUL, you live in a BODY!

3. but my UNDERSTANDING is unfruitful. (mind) the mind BYPASS

(1 Corinthians 14:15 NKJV) What is the conclusion]then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.

√ Source of STRENGTH
(Ephesians 6:12 NKJV) For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
(Ephesians 6:18 NKJV) praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit…
(JUDE 1:20 NKJV) .. building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit

√ Not a take over; it’s a CHOICE.
(1 Corinthians 14:15 NKJV) THE 4 “I WILLS”

FEELINGS are not a factor

√ All prayer is an exercise of FAITH.
(Hebrews 11:6) … without faith it is impossible to please Him
