CHARACTER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Character is what a person truly is; reputation is what a person is thought to be by others.
His Qualities:
1. My best friend is OMNISCIENT : all- KNOWING.
(Psalm 147:4-5)He counts the number of the stars;He calls them all by name. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power;His understanding is infinite.
2. My best friend is OMNIPOTENT: all- POWERFUL.
(Luke 1:37) For with God, nothing will be impossible.
(Romans 8:11) But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
3. My best friend is OMNIPRESENT: simultaneously everyWHERE and everyWHEN.
(Psalm 139:7-10)Where can I go from Your Spirit?Or where can I flee from Your presence?…
His Personality:
Personality is determined by how one is thinking, acting, and feeling.
1. The MIND of the Spirit.
(Romans 8:26-27)Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
2. The WILL of the Spirit, both GENERAL and SPECIFIC.
(Romans 8:14)For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.The EMOTIONS of the Spirit.
(Galatians 5:22) For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace…
(Ephesians 4:30)And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
